Drags Aloud has an international reputation
for drag excellence.

After many years entertaining Melbourne audiences as 'The Showbags Drag Show', Drag Aloud was formed in 2005 to take drag to the world.

We are the first Australian drag show to travel overseas on engagement since the early 1970's when the famous Carlotta visited London with Simone Troy's Playgirls. 

We hold the record for the longest running drag production show in the history of Melbourne's drag industry.

In 2007 our show, The Sound of Music Drag Show received a Director's Commendation and Prize from the Melbourne International Comedy Festival and a Rainbow Award for Best Drag Show.

At the Edinburgh Fringe Festival we were considered the most successful first year show of 2008 and we received an unprecendented number of positive reviews (including a Five Star and 5 Four Star reviews).

We were also invited to perform at Spiegeltent for the Australian High Commissioner at a special command performance in support of Australia talent .
